I have worked as a math and physics tutor for several years at the high school and undergraduate university levels. My past experience has been primarily in introductory physics courses and upper-level high school math including trigonometry and calculus, but I am excited at the possibility of tutoring at any level. I was a President's Scholar at Georgia Tech from 2004 through 2008, and I recently completed master's degrees in physics and medical physics at the University of Pennsylvania. Since my undergraduate years at Georgia Tech, I have been teaching college and high school physics to family members and friends. In 2009, I began teaching for two metro Atlanta tutoring firms. I specialize in high school and undergraduate physics, but I am qualified to teach algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and pre-calculus. I first like to explain the tangible concept to students, citing real-world examples. Next, it is appropriate to transition to explaining the details of the concept/equation at hand. Finally, most importantly, I believe in extensive practice of multiple problems. It is especially helpful to show students how to solve problems in different ways which arrive at the same answer. Of course I love teaching specifically math of any level. My style is different; instead of teaching I coach my students. When I teach math, I don't simply use formulas and solve the problems; I try to teach how the formula is created and where to use it. I have a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and about seven years of teaching experience in USA and in India. I can teach math for any level.
