Experience Summary
As both a lead instructor and a supervisor, I have developed training programs that engage students, enhance their level of learning, all while benchmarking these programs against the standards set forth by the USAF,NEC, OSHA, and NFPA standards applicable. Everyone has different learning styles, and in order to be successful in any training, tutoring or teaching you must first get to know the student. Then you can utilizes the different approached that work best for them. I also have experience traing English langauge learning students, as I was responsible for the training and supervision of the local nationals that worked for my shop in Afghanistan.
Teaching Style
The attitude that you have as you walk into the classroom everyday has the biggest impact on what measure of success you will achieve. You are not just a teacher, but a mentor and a partner of each student in the class. You will need to be able to interact with the class as a whole and with each student as an individual as well. Being able to effectively communicate on both these levels is essential. You must also be able to access the student’s level of knowledge and develop a curriculum that will successfully address meeting their educational goals. The bottom line is that the attitude you have will determine the how effectively you are able to communicate to the students, their parents and within the school system.
