My studio is student focused. Student learn jazz, rock, classical, latin and popular styles. There is an equal focus of reading and performing by ear. Song writing, music therory and improvization are included in students lessons as they show an appitude and willingness to progress. Students are at all levels beginner, intermediate and advanced. The youngest was 3 and the oldest 82 years of age.

I have been teaching for 25 years. Most of my teaching was in religious settings working with teens, but I have also tutored younger children with school studies in after school programs and I have taught Microsoft Office, Keyboarding and Business classes in an accredited adult learning center. I have trained teens to do on air radio announcing, creating magazine publications, web design and have taught guitar and bass. I have circled myself with music my entire life. I began playing clarinet at age ten, and during my college years I studied music theory and composition while majoring at piano. I am often complimented on my ability how to teach others music parts and instruction.
