A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching and working with children for the past 10 years in Montessori Schools, YMCAs, church groups, before and after school programs, city summer programs. In college I earned a degree in Applied Communications where I learned the art of effective communcation, through the mediums of writing, speaking and non verbal communication. I took many english classes, as well as education classes. I have been teaching yoga to people ages 2- 60+ here in Colorado Springs and in San Franisco for the past 4 years.
My teaching style would be observe the child and then apply a teaching method that feels the best. Also allowing the child to show where they want to go through personal discovery. My first academic teaching experience started in the fifth grade, when my teacher asked me to help my classmates after school. Slowly my love of teaching and helping my classmates grew. Later I was asked to give lessons to my classmates during school hours. I started my own tutoring service for school children in my college days. During my Ph.D. program, I taught several undergraduate and graduate courses in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I have earned my Bachelor's and master's degrees in biochemistry and my PhD is in Biochmeistry-Genetics.
