I enjoy a very interactive learning approach. I tend to use hands on and visual learning techniques. I am patient and children are my joy to work with. I also think that using real world examples while teaching is key to helping them understand. I have a solid education, starting with an engineering degree from the University of Illinois and a Master's of Science from St Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. During my first two years of college, I excelled academically, allowing me to qualify as a tutor in algebra, calculus and physics for other college students. In addition, I honed my communication skills as an Air Force Officer, attending Academic Instructor School, later teaching future Air Force officers written and spoken communication and leadershiip. I have always had a passion for learning, and helping others learn. In middle school, High School and College, other students came to me for help with assignments. Knowing what it is like to be a student, I try to see from the students point of view. Each student teaches me their own way to learn. I enjoy learning and hope that I can share that joy with others. My degree in Engineering has given me plenty of experience in math and science. I have also had graduate courses in Physics and Engineering.
