When I was in high school I had a lot of anxiety about math. I went back to college late in life and I was terrified that I would have to take a few math courses to graduate. It wasn't long before math was my favorite class and I changed my major. When I was in school I helped a lot of my classmates with calculus. After I graduated I got a job as a tutor working with high school students on preparation for college entrance exams and mathematics. I found that to be very rewarding.

My teaching style is trying to relate to each person and make everything easier for them. Dealing with A.D.D my entire life, I've learned how to break apart the entire problem(or essay) into better and more clear parts. A good educator needs to demand accountability from it's students. As a teacher’s assistant for photography in high school, I realized that I had a natural aptitude for teaching and breaking subjects down into manageable parts. In college, I was the person that other students came to for guidance with difficult topics, from mathematical equations to evolutionary theory. I am particularly adept at explaining mathematical concepts and techniques to students. I find a way to build on what the student already knows. I find a way to explain a technique based on what the student already knows how to do. If a student does not know how to solve a problem, then I will show the student how I solve the problem, explaining my thinking and results as I go along.
