I have worked for Liberty High School with their AVID program for over 4 years now, and I have been a personal tutor for about seven years to date. I have had a great many students and have been given rave reviews from all of them. I feel I am very knowledgeable in mathematics and I also feel I am very good at relating it to other people in different ways so they may be able to understand. Taking the fear out of testing, one session at a time

Currently I am tutoring Biology (among other sciences) as well as English at Pueblo Community College. I have been there for close to a half of a year at this point. I also have a 15 year old son who is in the IB program at Palmer. He does very well in school, I like to attribute that partially to my skills. As a lifelong learner I understand the importance of an effective teacher. I have been teaching and assisting college level classes for 2 years as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. As a student athlete I understand the demands of both schoolwork and extracurricular activities. I have a bachelors degree in biology which has giving me a background in biology, anatomy, chemistry, psychology and math. Though I have not tutored before I have been a director of a daycare in which I was responsible for helping multiple students with homework.

As a substitute teacher, I try to engage the interest of all the students by greeting them by name initially as I welcome them to their classroom. Easing the tension when someone messes up by asmitting that everyone blows it at some point is always a hit.
