Genetics is one of my top subjects!

I believe the best way to learn is to ask questions. The best thought process begins with asking the right questions. As a student, I find that knowing the right question was often as important as right answer. Taking this lesson into teaching, I find that getting the student to ask the right question makes all the difference in their understanding. My perspective of teaching is to help the student to find and better understand their own question and which leads the correct answers.

Genetics is one of my top subjects! I've tutored genetics for 2 semesters. Running both classroom led discussions and individual tutoring sessions.

I prefer to meet at Libraries or Coffee Shops and will tutor out of my house when it is convenient.I can also tutor over skype or chat. I must insist that you bring all of your materials for the class when we meet.

I have been teaching a variety of subjects for over twenty years. My background is in agriculture which includes science, math, leadership, and mechanics. I have strong experience in Biology and Earth Sciences as a result. I have also taught general science including biology, earth science, chemistry, astronomy, physics, and life science. A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently retired from the U.S. Army as a medic. During my service, I was frequently responsible for both formal and informal teaching and training. I learned to easily adapt to various learning styles, learning barriers, and researching subjects. While still in the service, I utilized my lunch breaks and evenings to further my education and emerged with my AA and completed Nurse Assistant training while still serving and my BS only one year later; two months after retiring. I enjoy sharing knowledge of science with people of all ages. Many people find science to be intimidating, but I believe that once a person gets past the vocabulary barrier, the concepts of science are less overwhelming. One of my strengths is distilling scientific knowledge from the incomprehensible to concepts that anyone can understand.
