Most of my career experience has been in News-Editorial and creative writing. As my daughter and son (now young adults) have grown and matured, I have been involved at several levels and in various paid and volunteer capacities as teacher, assistant/aide, and tutor. My substitute teaching experience primarily has been in the subjects of English, social studies, music, math, and art.
I am patient, kind, respectful, and good-humored. I have noted that my own excitement in learning is contagious. I believe each of us excels in individual areas of particular interest. Working with/helping children is my passion. I believe that all children are capable of succeeding in life if given the proper tools and/or guidance. I also believe that each child is an individual and that they do not all learn in the same manner. I make every effort to find their specific style of learning and teach from there. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style would be observe the child and then apply a teaching method that feels the best. Also allowing the child to show where they want to go through personal discovery. I beleive in guiding the child when they really need it and then letting them fly. All children can learn, and its personalized education sessions that can make all the difference, informing and empowering the child, parent, teacher and future teachers.
I have been teaching and working with children for the past 10 years in Montessori Schools, YMCAs, church groups, before and after school programs, city summer programs.
