I understand that everyone learns differently. I learn best through visual and hands on , yet I know a large number of people learn orally. I have developed through my 19 years of teaching experiences ways to teach to all the different types of learning styles. I earned a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University in 1984. My subjects of passion were math and science and I enjoy working with children who struggle in those areas. I have home schooled my son through the end of 12th grade and he was ready for college freshman classes at age 15. Starting in his second grade year, we were joined by a student who has learning disabilities. He also thrived in the tutorial teaching environment. At the outset of the personal computer revolution I sold and supported Tandy computers. As part of the support function I instructed clients in the use of their computers. A whole new world blossomed for me. Teaching clients to use their computers turned out to be a long term and very rewarding experience. During my thirteen years as The Computer Tutor I encountered a multitude of student learning difficulties.
