I have a passion and calling for working with children. From the time I was a child, I knew this is what I was meant to do. I believe children are the hope of our country, and that every child is capable of learning and expanding their knowledge. Knowledge is power, and if a child is given the proper encouragement and motivation they can and will succeed. I consider it an amazing privilege to be an educator and make a difference in the lives of my students. (Grades K-6) I also spent 2 months teaching full time 3rd and 4th grade after college prior to unfortunately being laid off due to financial losses in the school. My teaching style is very goal-oriented, yet flexible enough to accomodate a variety of methods. Some students learn best from lectures, other learn from visuals while some are much better at hands-on instruction and correlations/representations. I possess a single subject credential in English, and I have recently completed a Master’s Degree in Cross-Cultural Education at National University where I maintained a 3.9 GPA in my graduate studies.
