Learning is a journey. I have a map but you have the wheels

I believe the best way to learn is to ask questions. The best thought process begins with asking the right questions. As a student, I find that knowing the right question was often as important as right answer. I taught Environmental Science to disadvantaged kids in McKenzie, TN while on summer break from college and then I taught young children about animals and their lifesytles at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I am currently working on a master's degree in secondary science. I suffered from a learning disability when I was a high school student, so I understanding students when they just aren't able to quite understand and know that it's okay to seek help.
I feel that each student has their own individual style of learning and I will take that into consideration when tutoring your son/daughter. Though being prepared is not a direct part of the tutor-student interaction, it is absolutely necessary for the tutor to be prepared far beyond the basic level.
