My comments on tutoring Painting : I know the basics well, but not some of the advanced techniques. I work with Acrylic Paints on canvas.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Art Institute in 2004 with top honors and a nomination for Best Demo Reel. I taught for a semester in 2004 at the Institute and went on to teach privately the the next two years (tutor). I became a photoshop trainer at work and an Art Director of a million dollar graphic design firm by 2007. I have flown to Cape Town in South Africa and Canberra in Australia to teach crash course photoshop seminars- up to 8 people with no computer experience at all. I have lead a team of 15 in photo editing for a professional studio and still teach privately today.
Hands on and detailed lecture. I talk fast, but I teach you to work fast as well. The hardest part of my lesson will be knowing when to put it down and call something finished. I love to laugh, be loud and have a great time. It's a joy to teach and I make sure it's a joy to learn as well.

Painting is one of my top subjects! In addition to my hands on experience copying the art work of the major artists of past and present, I was recently a docent at the Leepa-Rattner Museum located in Tarpon Springs for a period of 18 months.

For the greater part of my life I have been involved in various facets of education. I have acted as substitute teacher at the middle and high school levels for a total of 10 years, 8 of which were spent at 12 schools in Vermont and 2 at 10 schools in Hernando County FL. I initially try to find what he/she is struggling with,and what strengths and weaknesses are present. I allow the person to ask questions in a fluid, spontaneous, "let's see as we tackle this together" manner. When something is not understood, I try to give analogies, examples that the person can relate to. I also may explain the subject matter in a more simplified, methodical fashion. I believe learning can be made appealing, if you find out how the person operates. Marketing, psychology, discussing right & left side of brains, Freud, Physical gym, learning all about the human body,and also English I & II which included reading, discussing what the author meant to tell, essays & proper grammer. I really enjoyed all of the classes. However Accounting was perhaps the most challenging, exciting and worthwhile to me.
