Sign Language is one of my top subjects! I am an American Sign Language Interpreting major graduating this spring with my degree from an Interpreter Training Program. I will also have my License through the Ohio Department of Education after graduation to interpret in schools grades K-12. I am hearing impaired, deaf in my left ear, and have been taking ASL for ten years since losing my hearing.

I have been taking ASL classes for High School and College since losing my hearing in my left ear ten years ago. I enjoy helping individuals learn American Sign Language, and will be graduating with my ASL Interpreting degree this Spring. I have completed all of the ASL Language classes required for my degree.

Striving to make the student feel comfortable is part of my basic repertoire of teaching strategies. I know that when a student does not succeed in a typical classroom environment it is easy for the student to feel negative about learning. I believe that each child learn differently, and as such, I have found the best way to teach is to cater to each child's individual learning style.
