Joan is a licensed teacher, trained in the Orton-Gillingham method and specializes in Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and learning disabilities. Joan attended Bemidji State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a math emphasis in November 1992. In May of 1992 she completed her kindergarten student teaching and kindergarten intercultural course work at Vaxjo University in Sweden.
