One of my degree's cognate areas was Political Science & History. In addition, I enjoy the subject & have studied it independently. I like to figure out what a student really wants to know & why he/she has this desire. Then, I like to know how best they learn. We all take in information differently. For example, it's easy for me to retain info related to social studies, history, artwork & details about writing a good narrative. This IS NOT true for me when dealing with science subjects.
