My comments on tutoring Pre-Algebra : I am KY and TN state certified in middle school math. I taught developmental math and college math at two year colleges. As a test prep coach, I tutor math on a daily basis. This almost always involves some degree of pre-Algebra as students often need a review of the basics before moving on to more difficult mathematical concepts. I'm great at explaining basic math concepts in multiple ways, so students can fully grasp those concepts.

I prepare students for the ACT and Praxis core and content exams, including the Praxis core (math, reading, and writing), Praxis 5018 (elementary education content knowledge), Praxis 5169 (middle school math), and Praxis 5001 (elementary education multiple subjects). I have been educating students for more than 20 years, teaching and tutoring at two and four year colleges and universities as well as offering test prep courses and one on one coaching. My easy going nature and fun personality allows me to make learning interesting. I have always believed that the best way for someone to learn is to put the information into terms that are understandable to them. In the past I have used illustrations, acted out scenes from battles, utilized initialisms, and made up songs to help students learn concepts.
