Sign Language is one of my top subjects! I was born and raised deaf, in a deaf family. Attended Maryland School for the Deaf and Gallaudet University.

I am a well experienced tutor, since this is something I've been doing since the seventh grade. I also am proficient in language itself; I took courses in linguistics during college. My boyfriend has his Masters in American Sign Language and I work as a tutor on campus (I tutor English and foreign students learning ASL). I am very knowledgeable about ASL and Deaf culture. I have and am living in it, though.

Beginning my sign language career in high school, I have learned to embrace the beautiful language and culture of the deaf community. At that time, I began to tutor a deaf child with minimal language skills and have been tutoring on and off ever since. During my college years, I was asked to tutor American Sign Language for the University of South Florida's athletic program. Currently, I am an educational sign language interpreter working in a middle school. I have my Bachelors degree in Communication and Science Disorders with a concentration in the Interpreter Training Track as well as a minor in American Sign Language. I have my Florida’s Quality Assurance Level One Certification for interpreters and continue to strive to improve my skills everyday.
