I started to tutor college student while an undergraduate at Mesa State College.I was awarded the GK-12 Fellowship for two years while at the University of Northern Colorado. This fellowship placed me in k-12 classrooms to aid in teaching sciene. During that time I taught kindergarten, second grade, 8th grade, and 9th - 12th grades.Later I was awarded the GAANN Fellowship and continued to teach colleged level Biology. I am currently working on my Masters degree in Education and have had refresher courses in the areas of study outside of my initial degree. A Little Bit About Me...

While earning my bachelor's degree, I worked in several tutoring programs assisting students with reading comprehension and writing composition skills. I taught grammar to small groups, read one-on-one with third graders and assisted junior high school students with their homework assignments. Though my degree is in fine art, I began my undergraduate career as an English major. In high school I took both AP English exams and I went on an honors trip to England to study British literature. Also as a high school senior I took sixth place at the state speech tournament with an oratory that I wrote. Even now as an aspiring children's book author/illustrator the written word still captivates me.
