As a tutor with Webster University's student literacy corps, I worked with individuals, pre-K-adult, on reading, literacy, and writing skills. I held this position for two years along with a summer position tutoring Algebra and French with HEC Upward Bound, which service at-risk youth. I found both programs extremely enjoyable and found that all of my students were eager to learn and improve their skill set.
It has been my experience that each student has his/her individuals needs and that each learns differently. Thus, I make a conscious effort to sit down privately with each of my students so that we can address his/her concerns effectively and put together a constructive plan to improve his/her skill set.

Teaching is in my blood. Nothing thrills me more than the light I see in a student’s eyes as he or she understands a concept for the first time. I enjoy teaching in a small group setting or one on one. I like to set goals and learning objectives based on the individual student’s needs and learning style. I am flexible and patient as I teach.
