A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently an instructional aide in a special needs classroom and work with elementary and middle school students. I have also had experience in school, both middle school and high school, as a tutor. The subjects that I have the most experience with are history, social sciences and English ranging elementary through college levels. I have a degree in History and a lot of experience and knowledge of various time periods and cultures. I am also proficient in math from basic arithmetic skills through Algebra II. In college, I worked for several months as an editor and writer. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching is going to be lecture based style; cover one or two topic per time, and lecture until students understand thoroughly. There will be some homework, but for review purposes.
I am currently a high school student; however, I will be attending to a community college from June, 2014. I was accepted to San Diego State University for business major, but not attending because of financial reasons. In tutoring, it is usually the case that the students can learn most of the subject without a tutor, but that each student who has difficulty has a difficulty not shared by most other students, hence not covered in class or homework. For tutoring, I learn what the students can already do well, what they can do with difficulty, and what they can't do yet, and I learn what is limiting their next progress. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy "de-coding" mathematics to those who naturally stuggle with basic concepts from algebra to calculus.
