A Little Bit About Me...
When I was in high school I tutored other students in science and math. In college I majored in psychology (BA University of Missouri), and then statistics (MA University of Missouri, PhD Carnegie Mellon University). I taught and tutored all levels of undergraduate statistics, with emphasis on behavioral science majors. In my classes and tutoring I met students (and classmates) from diverse parts of the world.
Learning requires practice, so I emphasize practice to mastery, following Kumon. In tutoring, it is usually the case that the students can learn most of the subject without a tutor, but that each student who has difficulty has a difficulty not shared by most other students, hence not covered in class or homework.
