I was a teacher of English for 30 years at three high schools in The Netherlands, my last job being a teacher/tutor at "Bisschopelijk College" (Episcopal College)in Weert Holland from 1980 to September 2005. I then emigrated to Texas and married an American in 2006. I taught students ranging between the age of 11 and 19 years of age. My passion for education blossomed while volunteering as a tutor with Somali refugee children in Pittsburgh, PA during college. I worked with families in their homes to develop English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
