I hold a current certification in Business Education, grades 6-12. I work in a high school alternative setting, my students may be diploma bound or they make be working toward taking the GED. I have been teaching Professional Development classes at McNeese State University for the past 11 years. Those classes include MS Word (varying levels), MS Powerpoint (varying levels), MS Access (varying levels, and Beginning Windows. My passion for education blossomed while volunteering as a tutor with Somali refugee children in Pittsburgh, PA during college. I worked with families in their homes to develop English reading, writing, and speaking skills. After graduating with a B.A. in History and Political Science I joined Teach For America, where I taught first grade for two years and substitute taught pre-kindergarten through fifth grade for one year.
