Experience Summary
I am a student at McNeese under Biochemistry. My major has required me to take math classes up to Calculus II - which I completed with an A grade. Calculus I I completed my senior year of high school at St. Louis Catholic. My experience as a tutor sparked when I decided to network myself as a private tutor, successfully starting with one student, whom I still tutor, and continuing with more as time progressed. I distributed my business cards to tutor. Anywhere from one to all subjects, I've tutored students in lower level Algebra to even improving detrimental learning disabilities. In fact, I currently tutor a disabled high school student and have seen my work to fruition. I have also worked at a day care.
Teaching Style
I have the capability to not only understand but fluently express any material. have done extensive research into tutoring and student-teacher bonds, an aspect I feel is important. I present the fact that the session is a time to learn yet enjoy. I always use my love for knowledge to improve the child's interest in learning - enhancing motivation. I supply the student with a notebook to be used for our sessions which seems to have increased the frequency the student works out of session. I feel that a less stressful mind is more open to intake information. I keep the child focused on what's important to excel. For math, dedication will be important. A positive work ethic and the student's weakpoints would be primary.
