I earned my B.A. from Tulane University magna cum laude in classical languages and philosophy. I received Tulane's oldest prize, the Judah Touro Medal, for excellence in the ancient languages and philosophy. The University of Chicago awarded me a full-tuition fellowship to its Master's program with a concentration in classical languages and philosophy. Having completed the program I am now a doctoral candidate, though on leave, in a dual PhD program (classics and philosophy) at Cornell University. I elected to be a stay at home mom after a successful career. I wanted a flexible work schedule and thought about tutoring. I found that I loved tutoring students ranging from elementary to college level. I found much satisfaction in students' improved grades and the mastery of the subject that I was able to impart. A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating from college with a BA, I began working for an environmental restoration and public education program. We led large volunteer groups sometime of more than 100 people, in local park and forest restoration event, and also led youth groups on 10 day restoration and hiking trips in the national forest. After this I worked for a program that places tutors in schools that are in need, where i tutored K-5 students in reading, led a ESL class of about 10 students, and worked as a teachers assistant in the class room.
