My comments on tutoring Writing : I have experience in most forms of writing, with most of my experience in persuasive, informational (expository), and scientific writing/research papers. I received an A in every english and writing class I took in college. In high school I took the Language and Composition AP exam and received a 5. On the ACT I received a 12/12 for the essay section, and received a score of R on a scale of J-T on the MCAT writing section.

I have succeeded as a Pre-Med student and psychology major while playing for the University of Colorado D1 women’s volleyball team and thus developed excellent study skills. I have taken and done well on the MCAT and I am applying to medical school in the summer of 2013. During my time at Colorado College, I worked as a chemistry tutor helping my younger peers traverse the challenging General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry course loads. But because of CC's rigorous alternative schedule--where you take one class at a time, for one month each class--it's necessary to learn to pick up new concepts very quickly, I often found myself being asked for help in classes I myself was taking. I never minded this, because being forced to explain something is the best way to ensure your own understanding of the concept.
