My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : certified 5-12

I have tutored since 1975 in math. All students have improved greatly. I have taught in middle school, HS, and community college. I use fun games, puzzles, and hands-on experiences to help students learn. I have experience with students with learning differences. I find a way to have the students learn.

What makes me a great teacher is that I have patience and the understanding to work with anyone. I explain things in a way that whomever I am tutoring can relate to and benefit from the most. While in high school, I discovered my love for math and began tutoring classmates in that area. My interest in writing developed during my educational career at The University of Tulsa, where I had courses in advanced exposition and argumentation and writing for the professions along with literature classes in the areas of Russian and British Literature of the 18th Century, Eastern Literature, and Greek Literature.
