I am currently a college sophomore working as a Calculus TA, I'm double majoring in Chemistry and Physics.I am a native Chinese speaker, I have experience teaching students Chinese. I like science and math. I scored 89 on TOEFL, I scored 29 in the writing section. I scored 1850 on SAT, with 700 on math. I love teaching and seeing students understand.

Since graduating from college, I have pursued further education through supplemental education. While working, I have attended classes in the evenings to keep current with teaching trends, practical classroom skills and the social-emotional needs of children in learning. My teaching style varies depending on the age and needs of the student. When I worked with younger children, I often made up a game to help the children learn the material while having fun. Even with older children I tried to make learning interactive and suit their personality. I also varied the amount and type of aid given based on the student’s needs. While I do think learning should be suited to the individual, I do require that the student focus entirely on studying during the tutoring session.
