A Little Bit About Me...

Although, I am not a certified teacher, I am currently working towards obtaining my licensure in Language Arts 7-12th grade and have taken several education related classes. I have recently obtained my BA in English and am educated in all of the current trends and graduated in the top ten percent of my class. During my time spent at Defiance College I had the pleasure of working for the Academic resource center as a writing consultant and tutor. There I helped fellow students learn how to write and research effectively. I enjoy working one on one with students because it is allows me to give more in depth and detailed instruction to the student based on his or her learning style. A Little Bit About Me...

As before, since I do not have classroom teaching experience I'm not exactly sure what my style would be. Initially I feel I should explain that I do not stand a strict method. From the people I have tutored before I have learned that you need to adapt to different situations and different needs. Some students need more regimented discipline such as an outline of everything for every day and others need just a general idea of what is required, etc, etc. I am confident, and proud, in the fact that I can adapt to any situation. I may not have the experience, but I do have the knowledge and I do have the passion.
