A Little Bit About Me...

I like the students to learn how to learn. While I will guide them, test them and occasionally point them toward appropriate reference materials, I do not do the work for them....that's their job and the only way they will develop the appropriate learning skills, self-confidence and a thirst for knowledge.
In the past,I've taught ESL, Health-care Occupations & Opportunities,both MRI/CT Applications. I also worked for AOL as an on-line teacher/tutor/mentor in their Academic Assistance Center.I hold two cleared teaching credentials one for Vocational Ed.and the other for Adult Ed. Ever since I was a young college student, I have had a desire for educating young people and adults. I enjoy observing their enthusiasm upon connecting with a subject. I have earned a bachelor degree in elementary education, as well as an endorsement in the area of ESL (English as a Second Language). I have taken many courses in the teaching of both reading and writing.
