Finance is one of my top subjects!

My last position in public accounting was as a Senior Tax Manager. With Courtaulds Coatings I was the US Tax Manager, I prepared the income, franchise, excise, GST tax returns, managed the staff for sales tax preparation and compliance as well as managed all the audit activities for each. I managed the risk management for the US coatings, fibers and aerospace divisions. While owning my own consulting business I managed all the accounting and tax (individual principals, corporate, sales and payroll) activities for a group of clients owning 5 business in 2 states. Additionally, I had several other accounting and tax clients covering a variety of engagements. My preferred style of teaching is student-lead. I believe in the Socratic method, but appreciate following a curriculum, as well. I volunteer at a Montessori school and I know that getting learners of all ages interested and excited about a topic is the key to retention.
