The use of songs to highlight certain grammatical or thematic elements I have found to be very effective. Interactive media to keep the students engaged as well as aware that what they are learning is relevant is a must. I am a firm believer that anyone can learn a language as long as it is taught properly and effectively.
As a bilingual Spanish and English speaker since birth I have always had an interest and inclination to the learning and teaching of languages.
