A Little Bit About Me...

I am Italian born and raised and moved to the USA 5 years ago to work on my M.A. I have taught English in my home country and I enjoy teaching Italian language and Italian Cusine. I love cooking and i have held small cooking classes for friends and neighbors. Italian is my first language but i am fluent in English as well. For those who are interested, I offer cooking classes to learn how to prepare authentic Italian dishes only with fresh ingredients, explained step by step. My teaching approach is targeted to the student i am teaching to; i believe that learning a foreign languages is not a burden but should be a fun experience. I use music, movies, food, conversation, and readings as a teaching approach to maximize learning.

I am a great teacher. I am extremely patient and understanding as well as excited about the material. I do my best to ensure that students are interested in what is being studied. The use of songs to highlight certain grammatical or thematic elements I have found to be very effective. Interactive media to keep the students engaged as well as aware that what they are learning is relevant is a must. I am a firm believer that anyone can learn a language as long as it is taught properly and effectively.
As a bilingual Spanish and English speaker since birth I have always had an interest and inclination to the learning and teaching of languages.
