I received my B.S degree The Pennsylvania State University and my Masters Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. I have always known that I wanted to become a teacher. I believe educating our future, our children, is one of the most important jobs anyone could have. I love being in the classroom and interacting with the children. After graduation I taught Pre-K after graduation and soon realized I wanted to go back to school for my masters in education. I graduated from Southern CT State University in 2007 with a degree in Art Education. I have been teaching or substitute teaching in some capacity since my sophomore year of college. I have been exposed to several reading programs used in NEPA public schools. In addition to classroom experience, I have extensive experience working with students with ASD. I tend to employ a quiet but direct approach to learning. Q and A sessions begin each session. We review the homework and past experiences of the student. I encourage students to write down their concerns and mark the areas of confusion at the time these arise. That way the students don't forget to bring them to my attention.
