A Little Bit About Me...

Being exposed and working at different school districts and states allowed me to learn different styles, therefore, I was able to evaluate what works and adapt the techniques to my own style. Education allowed me to learn techniques and I do claim that I was successful leading a classroom and learning was achieved by my studens. I do believe that education is always open for improvement. I learned teaching and assessment techniques and I learned to modify teaching style according to students needs.

I tend to employ a quiet but direct approach to learning. Q and A sessions begin each session. We review the homework and past experiences of the student. I encourage students to write down their concerns and mark the areas of confusion at the time these arise. That way the students don't forget to bring them to my attention. I like to break down large projects into smaller components. The success of the student is the primary goal. A feeling of accomplishment is a close second. I back step and reteach as necessary. Currently, I am finishing my second year of teaching at the High School level. I teach 5 classes, grades 9-12, design the set designs for the school play, coordinate a 35 member art club and tutor reading and comprehension for the Reading School District.
