I have been given a solid education at the undergraduate level at The College of Saint Rose where I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education. I have my NYS Initial Teaching Certification in both Early Childhood Education and Childhood Education. I have just recently been accepted into the college’s Curriculum and Instruction program at the Graduate Level. I am also working on an advanced certificate in teaching student with disabilities. I have recently finished a yearlong mentoring program through a local elementary school called the ‘Help Yourself Academy’, which allows underprivileged children to have positive role models in their everyday life. I love being able to teach someone something new. After completing my graduate program and student teaching at Latham Ridge Elementary School, I became an aide within the same building. This position lent itself to filling in maternity years the following year. I was then hired as a sixth grade teacher and have been in that position since that time.
