I majored in music at American River College and earned a full music scholarship to the University of Reno that I won in the Reno Jazz Festival. I decided to turn pro and went on the road as a professional Sax, clarinet, flute and lead vocalist. I have worked for and played with some of the top international acts in the world.
I'm an easy going personality and patient with my students. I currently teach privately to a few adults right now out of my home and enjoy what I do. I've been a professional musician for over 40 years and teach children to adults, from beginner to advanced. I have done many clinics for students at schools teaching improvisation and demonstrations. I believe I can make a difference in their lives.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked in the field of education for the past 15 years but have worked with youth in all of my career since graduating from college in 1983. I have always been drawn to education and feel that I have achieved a high level of excellence in my own education that I want to help others become life-long learners. I have worked with emotionally handicapped children and teens as well as having raised two refugee foster children. I have tutored student in Spanish and reading.
As I mentioned above I have worked with all age groups of students and feel that I am very patient and flexible.
