I have an unparalleled amount of patience.

My first teaching experience was in high school teaching at after school programs about basic economic principles that may apply to kids. That was my first time understanding that I have potential to assist others in grasping topics. In my college career, I found myself teaching people everything from music to proper uses of tense/grammar. It was there that i learned that you really only learn a small fraction of what you need to help you in life in the classroom. The rest must be learned on your own or with some one-on-one counseling. My comments on tutoring Saxophone : Was in band and other musical groups in school, played some saxophone

While in College I was a part time nanny for a single Mom with twins. I started taking care of the twins when they were 2 and continued until they were almost 4. I was an assistant teacher part time at little playmates preschool daycare. During my time there I worked with the 2 and 3 year old class and the 4 and 5 year old class. I also helped the older children with homework. I was responsible for helping with meals, playtime and supervising outside activities. Caring, Charismatic, and Capable!

I am currently completing my senior year at Arlington High School. I have tutored my peers in algebra since my sophomore year of school during tutoring sessions after school. I am enrolled in the most rigorous coursework including the International Baccalaureate two-year program. My favorite part of tutoring others is the satisfaction attained when observing such vast improvements in the grades of my peers.

My comments on tutoring Saxophone : 12 years playing experience, this was one of my chosen minor instruments in music school. I have experience with mostly jazz, blues, and big band literature regarding tenor sax.

I prefer long tone studies, followed by a chosen etude reflecting the desired skill currently being sought, then application via a prepared solo piece. Generally, success in this area deserves a fun reward, so then I may next "mix it up" a little with a duet or a piece from a different genre.
I began tutoring others at the age of 16. After many years of district honor, all state, and college honor bands, I continued with my music education in college, branching out into other instruments, musical genres, and different ensemble types. I also took various lessons with several different teachers on the same instruments to truly get a well rounded experience, while continuing to teach others. After college, I still continue to play and perform with various community and private organizations.

I am a recent graduate of Jacksonville State University and hold a Bachelors degree in Music Education. I've been playing clarinet for about 12 years. I'm also certified by the state of Alabama in instrumental music education. I did my internship at Piedmont Middle School, Piedmont High School, and Kitty Stone Elementary School so I have had experience with students of all grade levels.
