I believe in a hands-on approach to teaching and learning. I strongly believe that it is important for the learner to be engaged in the material being taught so that they can be inspired to perform at the best of their abilities. I will try to avoid utilizing the busy work that one might find in a classroom setting.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in music from the University of Connecticut. While partaking in this course, I took a variety of courses relating to music including music theory, music history, and applied studies (lessons) on my instrument, which was trombone. After graduating from college, I served in Americorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) for two years. Americorps NCCC is a community service organization for young adults between the ages of 18 and 24.
