I enjoy helping people, children and adults. I know that everyone can learn with the proper teaching method. My tutoring technique incorporates various learning styles. I use visual aids, such as flash cards and color codes, to help my students understand the concepts. Additionally, I encourage my students to take notes and read aloud to assist them in solving the problems. These tools help me to design an individualized lesson plan for my students. I strive to make learning an adventurous journey, rather than a tedious task.
As a college graduate, I have strived for academic excellence. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with Financial Certification. I love tutoring and mentoring kids, period. It's spiriturally rewarding to me as an adult to have a part in a child's development. I believe every child is special. There's is no doubt in my mind that if a tutor approach is based on patience, quality time and empathy, he or she will be successful and effective. The latter mentioned characteristics has always been viewed by me as the hallmarks of tutoring. I am a patient, understanding, and considerate person. I love the sight of a child learning something after a person takes the time to show the steps. At the moment, I am unemployed throughout the week so i can meet with a child/children whenever they need me. I also can help a child through their personal problems because it is not always that a child does not understand the information; sometimes they have other things affecting their lives.
