A Little Bit About Me...

I have a BS in Wildlife Biology, with honors, which gives me an excellent background in math and science. I have worked as a wildlife field technician over the last four years including a position with the Northern Divide Grizzly Bear Project. I have volunteered for the Watershed Education Network, a non-profit organization that educates young students about the importance of water quality and introduces them to stream monitoring science. In the spring of 2010, I volunteered for the Missoula International School (MIS) as a middle school math tutor. I worked with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, helping them with their daily math exercises and providing chaperone support for various field trips.

The professors who most impressed me were extremely challenging. One exceptional professor jumps out at me. Her passion for teaching was inarguable and her skill was remarkable. She was witty and smart. I remember sitting on the edge of my seat, clenched tight, simultaneously intrigued and terrified. She could tell stories that left us in stitches or scare us into studying for the entire weekend. I have come across few professors with so much excitement for teaching.
