As a teacher, I bring passion for both creativity-based and logic-based subjects. I don't subscribe to the right-brain/left-brain paradigm. I believe students can be strong in both mathematics and writing, and it is my desire to help students realize this, because so few people do. My basic tutoring practice is to let the student do most of the talking. I believe this keeps the student engaged in the subject and demonstrates whether or not he or she really understands. I have been tutoring for many years. I started at Sylvan Learning Centers, where I was there for two and one half years. I am proud to say I was successful in that I helped many students and that I was able to do this over a wide range of student needs.
