A Little Bit About Me...

As an Education major graduate I am driven to challenge and reinforce students in order to obtain a high level of performance. In college I achieved a triple minor in English, Psychology and Science. I did this with the intent that strong content knowledge will greatly affect student achievement along with excellent teaching strategies. I have had experience teaching all grade levels and have taught in several different schools. My career has taken me from Canada to the UK and now to the States. I believe my "tool kit" of strategies and my drive for progress with ultimately help any child make the gains necessary for their grade level.

I have been working with children for several years. I started by teaching dance at a local dance studio while I was in high school. It was from this experience that I chose to go to college to become a teacher. I have a degree in Elementary Education and am ESOL certified. I have experience as a substitute teacher and have worked with both elementary and middle school students.
I understand that all children learn differently and I am able to adapt my teaching style to fit the child. I am both patient and positive and I like to give the student confidence. My goal is to not only help the child learn, but to also give them a sense of confidence. It is important that each student believe in his or herself as well as their capabilities.
