A Little Bit About Me...

The majority of my teaching experience occurred when I was in college. I was studying to be a social worker and worked part-time in the library. I also worked as a Sociology Teacher's Assistant and tutored other college students in the core science class. In Zimbabwe, I spent a summer teaching Bible class, tutoring special needs children in all subjects, coaching a girls field hockey team, and running a weekly youth program called AWANA. In PA, I tutored elementary school students in reading and math in an inner-city after school program. I hope to tutor elementary school students in reading, math, or other basic subjects. I have been working with children for several years. I started by teaching dance at a local dance studio while I was in high school. It was from this experience that I chose to go to college to become a teacher. I have a degree in Elementary Education and am ESOL certified.
