Have worked with elementary age children and have tutored/mentored in the workplace. With many years of work experience with employees of varying skill levels, I understand what it takes to be a valued contributor and understand that students learn in very different ways. Marine Biology is one of my top subjects! I have a Master's Degree in Marine Biology and have conducted independent research projects in this field.

I successfully completed a B.S. in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston in 2004. During my undergraduate career I was able to participate in a research cruise at sea and conduct independent research. I later worked for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Marine Resources Division, conducting research in a variety of fields including mariculture and stock enhancement. In 2006 I began the graduate program in Marine Biology at the College of Charleston. While there, I taught two semesters of Molecular Biology Lab as a Teaching Assistant. A Little Bit About Me...

I have had almost 10 years of experience tutoring students at the elementary, middle and high school level in teaching math and science. Before this, I went to local Wake County Public Schools to demonstrate science subjects such as ocean waves, ground water pumping, nutrient contamination and water quality in fresh water lakes. Finally, I was a hydrologist, geologist, and geophysicist for the U.S. Geological Survey for over 30 years before I retired. I love teaching and showing people how easy accounting can be and how much it helps you in real life situations. Most students get overwhelmed easily with double entry accrual accounting. I find it best to relate the material directly to the students personal life purchase and income habits. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been tutoring since I was 13 years old. Parents of my peers always approached me to teach their son or daughter. After I completed high school with a 4.0 GPA I was hired at a professional tutoring school. There I worked for nearly 10 years with a loyal student base many of whom I taught the entire time. I taught kids from when they were in elementary school all the way until high school. Some students were ineligible to go to normal school so I was their only teacher for years.
