I successfully completed a B.S. in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston in 2004. During my undergraduate career I was able to participate in a research cruise at sea and conduct independent research. I later worked for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Marine Resources Division, conducting research in a variety of fields including mariculture and stock enhancement. In 2006 I began the graduate program in Marine Biology at the College of Charleston. While there, I taught two semesters of Molecular Biology Lab as a Teaching Assistant. Teacher with gentle touch - Very good at explaining new subj

I try to find the teaching style that is going to work for the student. Are they visual? Do they need to touch to learn? Finding out how to teach them and then helping them learn skills for independent study are just as important as the material.
