I graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Elementary Education grades K-6. While in school I worked at Sylvan Learning Centers to earn a little extra money. I have taught Kindergarten for 3 years. All of my students were successful.
All children can learn, but in different ways. As a teacher I had to figure out the various ways that my students learned and incorporated that into my lessons. I did a lot of small group teaching and hands on activities. I always did whatever I needed to do in order for my children to be successful.

I love to learn, and love passing that on to others. I am a patient personality, and I may present a problem to a student to evaluate where they are. From there, we can go either backwards or to more advanced work. Education is very important for myself and for my children, and I like to instill that learning takes you further in life than where someone may have not even dreamed. Take the child's level and increase them higher. Using whatever mode necessary. Hands on exsperience is usually the best. Various types of learning styles are incorporated. Modivation is very important. Self esteem is very important. The final outcome of a educated student is a well rounded and sucessful person.

A Little Bit About Me...

I substituted after graduation and realized I loved teaching. In college I was asked to tutor for my instructors. My classmates came over to my house to study. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ole Miss in 99'. I taught 2nd and 5th grade before going to Falkner to teach Special Ed. in grades 9-12. I helped prepare students for state tests. I co-taught in Eng. and Alg. I also taught MS Studies, W.Geog., U.S. History, Drama, Eng. II, U.S. History, Journalism, Tutorial and ACT prep also. I have experience in math and science as well. My students did projects such as: Greek masks, maps of MS, project boards on MS Indians and World Religions. I can relate to children of different ages; I have three children ages 5,9,and 18.
