I have been involved with sign language for six years now. I took two years in high school and two semesters in college. I also tutored four students for a year in the basics of sign. I am also involved with an all sign language church (no voicing), that has a number of deaf members, with which I interact weekly.

I feel that I can always learn something new everyday. I always wanted to teach but didn’t originally go that route. I have a BA in Speech Communications. I then went on to take some Sign language classes, but never felt complete. After about 5 years, I decided to follow my heart and go back to school and get a Teacher of the Handicapped Certification. As a graduate from Brigham Young University (BYU) with two degrees, I am motivated to excel in education and/or business. My first degree was a BA in History Teaching. I have taught in the classroom and worked in other education positions for 8 years. Recently, I completed an MBA at the Marriott School of Management on the campus of BYU.
