I began teaching in pre-school and have been teaching at the college level for 5 years. I also freelance interpret and am involved in numerous deaf clubs and advocacy groups. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught American sign language (ASL)at a community college and adult school programs, and tutoring for less than 20 years. I feel that I can always learn something new everyday. I always wanted to teach but didn’t originally go that route. I have a BA in Speech Communications. I then went on to take some Sign language classes, but never felt complete. After about 5 years, I decided to follow my heart and go back to school and get a Teacher of the Handicapped Certification. I have had many experiences with a variety of disabilities including Hand in Hand, Special Olympics and teaching children with various disabilities in a classroom and one on one setting.
